Babak Falsafi  has  been recipient of  numerous grants from the Rockefeller Foundation, Zellerbach Family Foundation and the California Arts Council among others. He has been also endorsed by Miranda for Traveling Guitars. Babak Falsafi was the winner of the 2002 Berkeley Ethnic Music Competition and shared the only awarded first prize with Pedram Falsafi.
